Day 30- Three Old Things made new

So it is 6am on the 31st and I am just getting around to my three gifts for the 30th.  The day started great. I was at a Pastor's wives conference, having a makeover when the phone rang.
My oldest was being rushed to Atlanta Medical, a level one trauma center because he had an accident at school.  I had to leave and drive 2.5 hours or an eternity to get to the hospital.  When I got here I found out he was in surgery for bleeding on his brain and the need to release pressure on the brain.  This has begun our journey in ICU.
Many prayer warriors began to pray.  The outpouring of love and support has been incredible and God sent.
Just before they let us see him, a nurse told us don't look at all the machines around him, just focus on Cade.  That first visit into the room was overwhelming.    Once he started waking they had to restrain him so he would not pull out the ventilator.  He managed to sit straight up and get the ventilator out on his own a few hours after he woke.
He is definitely a fighter.  Scott and I left and went to a hotel to sleep for a few hours.  When we returned this morning the nurse said he was doing well.  He tried getting the neck brace off but could not get to it from the restraints.   He had a CT scan this morning. We will be sitting, waiting, and praying today.
Your prayers are greatly appreciated.  Please pray for quick full healing. Pray for wisdom for the medical staff. Pray for peace and perseverance for our family.
More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.
Romans 5:3-5 (ESV)
