Feb. 3 Update on Cade and Three Gifts found in writing.

Day 5 in the ICU with Cade. Today was another good day. Cade was ready for visitors.

Cade was shown a photo of the staples in his head and the extent of his injury set in on him for a few minutes. He wants to be back at school next week and playing soccer.  He realizes now that will not happen, but he is not afraid to keep asking.

They are working on getting him back to a daytime/night time schedule.  He sat up for about 4 hours and walked only a few steps with a walker because he was so tired.

In the next few days, Cade will have speech therapy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy.  They are working on a plan for when he gets out of the hospital.  He has been referred to outpatient therapy, which is great news.

We are so thankful to our brothers and sisters in Christ for all the love, prayers and encouragement. GOD IS SO GOOD.

My joy dare for today was three gifts in writing.

The first gift in writing is that I started writing down my thanksgiving and graces from GOD at the beginning of the year.  Being able to write these blessings down has been cleansing and healing for me. GOD knew the season, I was entering and provided for me.

The second gift in writing is a verse to cling to not only now but everyday.

Philippians 4:6-7 NLT

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

The third gift in writing comes from "The Crucified Life by A. W. Toser

"Simply believing the Bible does no good until we pull those promises of God out of the Bible and by faith appropriate them into our lives."

Many of us believe in GOD'S promises l, what are we doing to show those in our lives?  I pray that you will by faith show those promises in your life.
