March 23 - Three Gifts found in Women Today

I want to take the opportunity to pen about why this blog is named Unending Laundry.

Do you tend to the laundry in your home?  Why is it that just when you finish the last load of laundry someone brings more to be washed?   With a house full of boys who change clothes every time the wind blows, our laundry pile is definitely unending.

I would like to state that there are two things in life that are unending:  GOD's Love and the Laundry.

Laundry and GOD's unfailing love both show up in the Garden of Eden. After Adam and Eve sinned, GOD made Adam and Eve garments of skins.   GOD clothed them and in his unfailing love sent them out of the garden.  So, we can thank Eve, the mother of unending laundry.

Psalms 36:5 speaks of GOD's loyal love:  "O Lord, your loyal love reaches to the sky, your faithfulness to the clouds."

I am so thankful that GOD's love is unfailing.  In Nehemiah 9:17, the Israelites confess their sins and recognize his unfailing love, "But you are a GOD of forgiveness, merciful, and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love."

So next time you are doing the laundry, you can thank GOD for his unending love and for the unending laundry.

My three gifts found in Women today:

  • Stay-at-home Moms. They are strong and passionate about their responsibility is as a mother. Many of them home-school.  Some are passionate about adoption.
  • Providers. Some of the women I know work to provide for their family.  Their hearts with their children at daycare or school, but the are equally as passionate about their family and responsibility as a mother.
  • Career Minded. These women have chosen to work. They have been called into the workplace to be on mission for GOD.  Some have children and some do not.  Those women that choose to work are equally as passionate about their family and responsibility.
In my eyes, these three gifts are equal, none are better than the other.   All three gifts need an equal amount of prayer covering over their lives.   So my friends, whatever category or gift you fall under.  I pray for you.
