March 24 - Three Gifts Spoken

Today, I attended the Rotary Club meeting in Jackson.  Our speaker spoke about a man who was very instrumental in developing the youth programs in our community during the 60s and 70s.  This man was influenced by the Love of Christ that was shown through a pastor in our town.  It was a very interesting speech that let us know where we have come from and where we are today.

I spoke with a friend at the office today, that I had not seen since before Cade's accident.  He was very positive and uplifting.  Praising GOD with us for GOD's hand healing Cade.

Another gift spoken today was asking a friend if they needed anything.  Her husband is going in for surgery tomorrow for cancer.   She is takes such good care of me and my family.  I want to make sure they are taken care of as well.

As you can tell from recent posts, we are pretty much back to normal at our house.  We are living the crazy busy life of parents with teenagers.  Last night, we had an exchange student from Italy visiting for dinner.  The sound of laughter and the sound of basketballs hitting the concrete filled the air.   Our sweet dog, Dora, discovered that her radio controlled fence was not on or her collar was not working.  So the boys had to chase her down and bring her back home.  So we had to fix the fence and put a battery in her collar.

Dora and her fence perimeter reminds me of us.   We know where our perimeter lies.  We know the difference between right and wrong, but we stand on that line, testing to see what we can get away with.  Sometimes we run wild over the border.  We  get caught, we tuck our tail and live within the small confines, no where close to the border until we decide to test it one more time.
