March 8 - Three Gifts Loud

It is Sunday and by three gifts are loud.

The first gift comes to me from Psalms 100:

Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands.  Serve the LORD with gladness; come before his presence with singing.  Know ye that the LORD he is is GOD: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are HIS people, and the sheep of his pasture.  Enter into HIS gates with thanksgiving, and into HIS courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.  For the LORD is good; HIS mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth all generations.

How did you enter the doors of the church building today?  Did you enter with joy in your heart?  With thankfulness?  with praises?    One thing Scott says all the time from the pulpit is we need some of our Pentecostal brothers and sister in our Baptist worship services to liven us up.  Many times we enter the church building is a quiet somber mood.  We should be entering praising GOD's name and thanking HIM for what HE has done for us and through us.

This morning during worship time we began with "All Because of Jesus" by Casting Crowns.  This is a peppy song that should be sung loud and with enthusiasm.  Do we consider the word of this song or any song when we sing it?

Giver of every breath I breathe
Author of all eternity
Giver of every perfect thing
To YOU be the glory
Maker of Heaven and of Earth
No one can comprehend YOUR worth
King over all the universe
To YOU be the glory

How can you not sing loud when you take in these words?

This afternoon the boys and Scott went to the soccer field and practiced for a few hours.  Cade is working on getting those leg muscles back in use for soccer.  Even though he can't play because of his skull needing to heal before he can play.  He is determined to be ready for college soccer in the fall.  His desire to play soccer is loud and shows in his work ethic as he is healing and getting stronger.   When we look at Cade and see the miracle that was performed by GOD starting on January 30, 2015, how can we not be loud with praises every second of every day for what GOD has done?
