June 5 - A gift of peace, hope, and love

So a took a few weeks vacation from my Joy Dare. It is not that I did not have joy.  I had plenty of Joy.  The end of the school year, busy time at work, and a wonderful vacation pulled me away from my Joy Dare Experience.

Scott and I took the boys on a cruise to the Bahamas.  If you have not taken a family cruise, I highly recommend it.  We had four days without cell phones.  No calls, No internet, all family time.  What a joy.  In the evenings, Cullen hung out at the pre-teen club.  Cade and Akseli did their thing.  Scott and I spend time together.  On Thursday when we were back in Port Canaveral, the phone turned back on and everyone was back in their own world.  It has taken me a week to catch up at work as well.

"Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." Romans 15:13

Thank you, GOD for peace through our Lord Jesus Christ.

"The LORD delights in those who fear him, who put their hope in his unfailing love." Psalm 147:11

Thank you, LORD for the hope in your unfailing love.

"And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love." 1 Corinthians 13:13, NIV

This past Tuesday, I read a devotional to our board members at the Pregnancy Center that started with this bible verse.   It was a lovely story about "Jane Roe" of Row versus Wade fame.   Norma McCorvey a.k.a. Jane Row, worked for decades in abortion clinics as a champion of the pro-choice movement.    One day a pregnancy resource center, like ours here in Butts County moved in next to the abortion clinic where Norma worked.

Norma became friends with a 7-year-old named, Emily, the daughter of one of the volunteers at the pregnancy resource center.  Emily showed love to Norma.  She drew pictures for Norma and ate meals with her.  Emily began inviting Norma to church.

One day Norma accepted the invitation to attend the church service.  Norma accepted Christ.   Norma is in the Kingdom of God, her sins are forgiven.   GOD used a sweet, 7-year-old to show his love and acceptance to Norma.

Thank GOD for Emily.   We have many people here in Butts County that show the same love and compassion as Emily at the Butts County Pregnancy Resource Center. I pray that if you are reading this that you would consider a donation to our center.   Some very discouraging financial news was received this week, so we need your help.  We want to continue serving the people of Butts County.
